President-Elect Barack Obama, in his speeches,
expresses his desire to inculcate the ideals of Dr. King
in to his decision making and his attitude to his fellow human beings.

He "chokes up" repeating the words of this Man of Peace,
but he'll "hold it together" on Inauguration day.

He'll make America, in Dr. King's words "a land no longer torn asunder with racial hatred and ethnic strife, a land that measured itself by how it treats the least of these, a land in which strength is defined not simply by the capacity to wage war but by the determination to forge peace - a land in which all of God's children might come together in a spirit of brotherhood."

He stands silent as his country aids in the genocide of the Palestinians.

He will forge peace by sending 30,000 American troops
to Afghanistan to intensify the massacre that has left
nearly 800,000 of his brothers and sisters dead.

He stands silent on the more than 700,000 of his brothers
and sisters who have been murdered in Iraq.

He threatens War against Iran, Syria and already destroyed Lebanon.

He remains silent on the murder of his brother Oscar Grant III
by police officer Johannes Mehserle in California.

He perpetuates what Dr. King called "a nation that continues
year after year to spend more money on military defense
than on programs of social uplift".

The President-Elect refuses to bring George Bush, Dick Cheney,
Donald Rumsfeld, Henry Kissinger
and the rest of the War criminals
to justice as he looks forward from the mountain top
and points the way to spiritual death.

Would Dr. King,
if he actually held public office,
have voted for invading Iraq,
invading Afghanistan,
sending arms
and money to Israel
and remained silent as his poverty stricken brothers
and sisters were slaughtered?

The words of Martin Luther King have been hijacked
by those would would use his message
to further their narcissistic goals.

His peaceful supplication has been betrayed
by lies and a sickening adulation of meaningless oratory.

His greatest statements of love and humanity have been relegated
to sound bites for mass consumption by a deceived public
who have put their faith in a man who represents all
that Dr. King was fighting peacefully against.

Nonviolent Resistance is Not Cowardly

King believed that there were six important points about nonviolent resistance. First, he argued that even though nonviolence may be perceived as cowardly, it was not. In fact, it was a method that did resist. According to King, a nonviolent protester was as passionate as a violent protester. Despite not being physically aggressive, "his mind and emotions are always active, constantly seeking to persuade the opponent that he is mistaken.

Nonviolent Resistance Awakens Moral Shame

Second, the point of nonviolent resistance is not to humiliate the opponent, but instead to gain his friendship and understanding. Further, the use of boycotts and methods of non-cooperation, were the "means to awaken a sense of moral shame in the opponent.”The result was redemption and reconciliation instead of the bitterness and chaos that came from violent resistance.

Nonviolent Resistance is a Battle Against Evil

The third point King advanced was that the battle was against the forces of evil and not individuals. Tension was not between the races, but was "between justice and injustice, between the forces of light and the forces of darkness. And if there is a victory it will be a victory not merely for fifty thousand Negroes, but a victory for justice and the forces of light.” Thus, tension only existed between good and evil and not between people.

Nonviolent Resistance Requires Suffering

Fourth, nonviolent resistance required the willingness to suffer. One must accept violence without retaliating with violence and must go to jail if necessary. Accordingly, the end was more important than safety, and retaliatory violence would distract from the main fight. King believed that by accepting suffering, it led to "tremendous educational and transforming possibilities" and would be a powerful tool in changing the minds of the opponents.

The Nonviolent Resister is on the Side of Justice

King's fifth point about nonviolent resistance was that the "universe was on the side of justice." Accordingly, people have a "cosmic companionship" with God who is on the side of truth. Therefore, the activist has faith that justice will occur in the future.

Nonviolent Resistance Rests on the Power of Love

King's sixth point was central to the method of nonviolent resistance. He believed the importance of nonviolence rested in the fact that it prevented physical violence and the "internal violence of spirit." Bitterness and hate were absent from the resisters mind, and replaced with love.

誰の言葉だと思いますか。
実は　これは１９３４年、ドイツの宣伝相　ゲッベルスが
ドイツ国民に与えた　１９の警告なのです。
ゲッべルスは、”非常に強力な超国家的勢力”
（すなわちユダヤ人）が、
文明の破壊にもつながる心理戦、
神経戦を挑（いど）んできていることを察知し、

そのことを教えている、こんな禅の話があります。

インドから　中国に　禅を伝えた　菩提達磨（ぼだいだるま）が
はじめて中国へ来て
仏教を深く信仰していた　梁（りょう）の武帝（ぶてい）と
会見したときの話です。

武帝は　菩提達磨に会うと、
すぐに　こんなことを尋ねました。

「わしは　即位（そくい＝君主の位につくこと）してから今日まで
多くの寺院を建立（こんりゅう）し、経典（きょうてん）を写（うつ）し
僧尼（そうに）たちに　援助を与えてきた。
これには、いったい　どんな功徳（くどく＝ご利益）があるか？」

すると

菩提達磨は　こう言ったのです。

「無功徳」

--- つまり
「そんなものに　功徳はない」　と言ったのです。

自分は　これまで　一生懸命善（よ）いことをしてきた

と思っていた武帝が
これを聞いて　すっかり慌（あわ）てたことは　
言うまでもありません。

--- なぜ　菩提達磨は　「無功徳」と言ったのでしょうか？

それは、

梁の武帝が　寺を建立するなど
どんなに　善を重ねても

それが　何か　効果や功徳を期待してのものであれば、

功徳はない　という意味で言ったわけです。

つまり、

寺を建てるにしても

寺を建てたことによって　何か功徳を得るのではなく、

寺を建てようと考え、
それを実行に移した その行動が　一つの功徳になっているのだ

ということを　菩提達磨は　教えたかったのです。

『般若心経』が教える　日々の生き方

布施　という言葉を　国語辞典で引いてみると
「信者が僧侶に金銭財物を施すこと」と書かれています。

たしかに、こういった解釈は間違いではありませんが、

本来の意味は、

相手は　僧侶にかぎらず

人に　物を施す　仏道修行のことをいいます。

また

施すものは

金銭にかぎりません。

たとえば　『無量寿経』（むりょうじゅきょう）という経文には

「和顔愛語」（わがんあいご）という教えが説かれており

「にこやかな笑顔で　優しい言葉をかける」

という意味です。

これも　布施の一つです。

苦虫をかみつぶしたような顔をしていると

いつの間にか　周囲にいる人に

不愉快を与えてしまいます。

こういったことから、つねに　にこやかな笑顔をみせたり

優しい言葉をかけることも、

『般若心経』が教える　日々の生き方なのです。

When I heard that there had been another shooting on a college campus I knew that it was drug related; they all are. A couple years ago, when there were three such shootings in a month and I had found evidence that they were all related to anti-depressant medications, my editors in Washington, at American Free Press, did not want me to write about it.

They even tried to make fun of it.

I knew that the connection between anti-depressant medications and shooting rampages was a censored subject with the controlled press -- and was surprised to see it was the same at American Free Press.

Once again, this time at a college near my home in Illinois, a person whose mind was seriously affected by SSRI anti-depressant medications, has gone on a deadly rampage. And, once again, the media and law enforcement authorities appear completely ignorant of why this has happened.

(SSRI means Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, which means a medication that affects the serotonin level in the brain.)

Now there have been 5 such shootings in a week. It is high time that the media and police get serious about understanding the side effects of SSRI medications like Prozac. Tens of millions of Americans take these drugs every day.

It has been widely reported that Stephen Kazmierczak, who shot and killed five Northern Illinois University students at the Dekalb campus on February 14, had recently stopped taking medication and "had become somewhat erratic in the last couple of weeks."

Donald Grady, the chief of the university police force revealed that Kazmierczak had stopped taking his medication -- although he did not reveal the name of the medication -- at a news conference a day after the fatal shooting.

Chief Grady said that Kazmierczak's motive was not known. Nor were there indications he had any relationship with any of his victims who were mowed down as he fired more than 50 shots in a matter of seconds from a lecture hall stage, Grady said.

This is not unusual. There is no motive with these drug-related killings. The drugs have so profoundly affected the serotonin levels in the "medicated" person that any sudden increase or decrease in the dosage can result in insane homicidal behavior.

A former employee at a Chicago psychiatric treatment center said Kazmierczak had been placed there after high school by his parents. She said he used to cut himself and had resisted taking his medications. The desire to cut oneself is a typical symptom and a clear indication that the person is having serious side effects from the SSRI anti-depressants.

How can these doctors pushing these drugs be so ignorant of the side effects of the medications they prescribe to their patients?

Gordon Brown's plan to provide free nursery places for two-year-olds risks creating a generation of "institutionalised" children, a psychologist warned today.

The Prime Minister has said he wants to extend the 15 hours of free childcare from three- and four-year-olds to two-year-olds to increase parents' choice over how they balance work and family life.
But Dr Richard House, a child psychologist at Roehampton University, said the drive to get mothers back into the workforce could be harmful to very young children.

"In this first couple of years the parent-child relationships are absolutely vital," he said. "That is when a parent and child really get to know each other.
"If that is disrupted, one of the great concerns is that when the children get to eight, 10 or 12 they are not going to have that foundation. There will be children not getting on with their parents or turning delinquent."

And if they had read it and figured out where it came from, and compared the UN Charter to the United States Constitution they'll find that they're absolutely repugnant.

You can't have them coexisting.

So common sense tells me that if the globalists want a one world government, they have to destroy the United States Constitution and our way of life. And, they've got to do so in such a way that we'll actually embrace it.
